The conservatory experts
By simply changing the roof on your existing conservatory you can reclaim it as a room to be used the whole year round. Replacing the existing roof with a system fitted by Complete Conservatory Conversions will not only look great, but it will increase the U-value (thermal efficiency) of the room saving you on energy costs.
When having their conservatory originally fitted many people chose it instead of a sunroom because of old building regulation. In October 2010 the building regulations changed, anyone can put a solid roof on a conservatory as long as it meets the following criteria:
- They were built at ground level and are less than 30 square metres in total floor area.
- The conservatory is separated from the house by external quality walls, doors or windows.
- The heating system’s temperature should be controlled separately by on/off controls.
- Glazing and any fixed electrical installations should comply with the applicable building regulation requirements.
