About the Business

RLM Windows, Doors and Conservatories are a family run double glazing business specialising in all aspects of Glazing installations and repairs. We are based in Newcastle, but cover an area right across North East England.

Our business was created in 2007 by owner Ricky Macdonald. Ricky has a number of year as a fenestration installer and fenestration surveyor. After working for various local and national companies, Ricky discovered many flaws within the industry and decided to do his things his way and set up his own business.

Ricky oversees the day to day running of the business, manages surveys and does most of the appointments that come into the office, which is why the company has such a good reputation, rather than dealing with salesmen, you deal directly with the owner.

All our work is carried out by employed members of our team, our staff are all fully trained and hold all relevant and up to date glazing qualification, including the , we are fully insured and all CRB checked. All our team members are fully uniformed, polite and professional.

We have a new fleet of vans that are fully equipped with everything we need to carry out a professional job on your property. Our vans are all fully sign written and always kept clean to the highest standard. We believe, clean vans, clean workers, clean job! We don’t have anything to hide, so if you have any questions about who we are, what we do or how we do things then please feel free to ask. Our office/showroom at camperdown Industrial Estate is open to the public so please feel free to pop in at any time.

Skypod

The skypods, like most of our products are fully made to measure and can be made to any size, to suit any room. They are most popular for projects such as flat roof extensions, orangeries, new builds, kitchen/diners and garage conversion. but can be used for any room.

Conservatories

We have the latest computer aided design system which enables us to show you how the conservatory will look on your property from an aesthetic viewpoint, so you can be absolutely certain you are making the right choice.

We build conservatories for a number of uses from superb dining rooms, playrooms, home offices or just a room to relax in and entertain family and friends.

A number of years ago conservatories were rooms that could be used very little as they were far to hot to use in the summer and far to cold to use in the winter. Now we use a range of energy rated products to improve thermal efficiency so that conservatories are a room that can be enjoyed all year round.

Windows

Casement windows:

We offer a large range of choice on windows including Casement, sliding sash, tilt and turn, bow and bay windows. Along with a wide choice of unique designs. Our ranges can include sash horns, French casement, Georgian or astragal bar for style along with a variety of accessories including colour options, handle options, energy and thermal enhancements options.

Our Windows come as standard with an 'A' rating energy performance certificate. All windows comply with current British Standards (BS 7950 and BS7413) and are approved by the BFRC (British Fenestration Rating Council) to prove that we don’t just say that our windows are 'A' Rated, it’s a fact! We use the high performance Duraflex Diamond plus window system.

Sliding Sash Windows:

Our EcoSlide UPVC sliding sash windows are avalible in a variety of styles, colours and with a number hardware options. An Extensive range of georgian and astragal bars will satisfy most custom requirements. To Help replicate original sliding sash windows, we now offer out windows with or without sash horns.

Most Home owners replace their windows with UPVC. Our windows can be fully custmoised with size, styles and colours and casement splits are also an option. Ecoslide windows are designed, extruded and fabricated here in the UK and are fully tested to UK climates. All Ecoslide windows are virgin plastic and lead free products.

Our sliding sash windows are supplied with toughened glass as standard and come energy rated as 'A+1' The windows are designed to allow both parts of the window to slide up and down and also have a standard tilt, which allows the window to be tilted back to allow an opening feature ot to make easy for self cleaning.
