About the Business

Trustwood Joinery is a family run company based in Brentwood, Essex. We are specialist installers of our own bespoke hardwood orangeries and conservatories, and pride ourselves on the high quality of our designer conservatories.

We have been supplying both domestic and trade customers with our conservatories, orangeries, doors and windows since 1999, and have many happy customers who have benefited from our reliable and personal service.

All Trustwood products come with high quality and durable fittings, such as brass handles, hinges and runners, and both the conservatories and orangeries we fit have the option of glass or polycarbonate roofs. We have a variety of glass options to choose from, including heat-reflective glass, anti-sun glass, and tinted glass - which will keep you cool in the summer and retain heat in the winter months.

Doors

We offer many styles of doors : front doors, porches, French doors, back doors, stable doors – the choices are very varied.

Bi-Fold Doors: We now specialise in sliding bi-fold doors, which are a great alternative to French doors. They are usually fitted on sliding door gear which enables a much wider opening as there are no fixed glass panels or posts. They have excellent weather proofing and draught proofers incorporated into the doors and the framing. They are a great product as they can give unobstructive views of your garden. The door sets can have various opening combinations, e.g. all the doors can slide in one direction, or they can be divided into opposite directions. You can even have French doors or a single swing door incorporated into most bi-fold door sets.

For smaller apertures, bi fold doors can be hung on standard butt hinges.

French Doors: All our French doors can be made in a style suited to your particular room, i.e. with full length side-lights, side windows, top-lights or simply by themselves. They will always be fitted with a 5 lever lock and rebate conversion kit, handles, mortice security bolts, cabin hooks (to keep the doors open when required) and a stormguard weather bar to the sill.

Front Doors: All our front doors are purpose made to your own particular requirement. We will provide all the necessary door furniture – five lever locks, rim locks, cylinder pulls, mortice security bolts, letter box, bell push etc.

Windows

All our windows are double glazed and have low emissivity glass. Where necessary, some window sashes may have toughened glass.

All our windows are fitted with high quality furniture which can include a brassed, chrome, white, silver, brown or black finish. We can also offer black monkey tail and black antique fittings.

As a standard, opening window sashes will always have locking fittings, and non-opening windows will have dummy sashes to create an even sight line.

Conservatories

All our conservatories are individually designed and made. When we prepare your estimate we will let you have a copy of a computer designed drawing depicting your proposed conservatory, in order for you to get an idea of what it will look like.

We use a very reputable architectural designer who will draw up the plans and submit to your local council if Planning Permission or Building Regulations are required for the building of your proposed conservatory.

All our conservatories are generally manufactured from high quality hardwoods. If you require the conservatory in a paint finish, the joinery will have one coat of an isolating primer and two further coats of micro porous paint applied. If you require the conservatory to have a stain finish, then one base protective coat plus two further coats of stain will be applied. We offer varied shades of paints and stains, all of which are applied directly in our Essex factory.
